I was absent for two days and I weighed my backpack and it 22 pounds and any other day it is 12 pounds. My best friend Jena weighed 16.9 pounds and I think there is a rule that a backpack is supposed to be 5 pounds. Please email me a solution to this problem. Sincerly Yours, james

my bookbag weights at least 20 pounds each day. its not the amount of homework but its the books that are assigned that make it to heavy.

Try doing some of your homework during breaks at school. You can also try writing down the questions instead of taking your book home everyday.

Try carring some books in your arms, or start a petition to make text books lighter, or try to get a textbook set for home and another copy of the same books for school.

I think you should leave your school or get your mother up there to speak with your principal because carrying a bag that big you should probaly go to court.

My backpack weighed 60 pounds one day, and I hadn't even been absent! I'm not kidding. I brought it home and weighed it! It's rediculous the amount of homework they give in school. I'm in Elm. school and I don't even want to know what it will be like for me next year in middle school. I think teachers should give way less homework. I have to carry two huge and heavy books home alot more than nessecary.
