"WHAT'S IN THE NEWS LIVE: Kids Ask About Terrorism" is live national call-in program hosted by Katie O'Toole, the writer and host of the award-winning program, targeted at 4th to 7th graders. The one-hour special will air on Wednesday, September 11, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. EDT.
O'Toole will talk with a small group of middle school students and adult experts about the changes brought by terrorism.
Students and teachers nationwide are invited to participate in the program by calling 1-800-543-8242 or sending questions via e-mail at kidstimes@psu.edu before or during the show. The group will answer as many questions as possible during the live broadcast.
"WHAT'S IN THE NEWS LIVE: Kids Ask About Terrorism" will air nationally via satellite to public TV stations and their associated schools across the U.S. The program will be delivered via PBS Satellite Schedule 513 by National ITV Satellite Schedule (NISS.) NISS is a service of NETA, the National Educational Telecommunications Association, a non-profit organization serving public television and education.)
