The black out scared me because I have a lot of relatives in New York. I was very glad that it wasn't terrosists, but I mean, so many people got stuck on subways, and many people didn't have air conditioning. My grandma lives in New York and she had one phone working because it was not hooked up to the power plant, but other then that she had nothing. I am glad she's ok!

I was in my house, with my friend and younger brother, and we were watching tv. I live in NYC where it occured. And at the time my parents were not home. It was kind of scary cause it was just us but it ended up fine.

I was at my friend's house and we were watching a movie, when all of a sudden the TV went off! We thought it was my friend's sister for a minute but it wasn't (duh). I went home and found out that the power had gone out. The worst part for me was the lack of air conditioning....OMG do you know how hot it is in TO in the summer?? BOILING!! Luckily I was leaving for vacation 2 days later, so I only had to deal with it for a little while. By the time we got back it was all cleared up, so I really didn't have it as bad as a lot of people.

Black out wasn't fun or crazy. It was more like scary and sad, as a New Yorker I experienced what would be like on black out.It was scary when I couldn't have any contact with my parents, beacause both of my parents work I didn't have any contact,I tried to call them but the phone line went dead. Also my dad were in a elevator alone, suddenly the electricity went dead and he coudn't get out.But there was an exit on the cieling so he climbed up then after he got on the cieling their was a door conecting to the 2nd floor. He tried to open it but he couldn't he yelled "help" then thier was another miracle their was a custodian standing right in front of him, then both of them tried to open it and their was enough space for my dad to get out. When I heard that I was so Glad he was safe. The sad part was when their was enough electricity to watch the news thier was a women who was pregnent. She was about to have a baby when the electricity ran out.I don't know what happened after but people who's reading my responce and who think the blackout was fun you should think about other people not about you.

Well I was out to lunch with my grandparents (who live in NY). At first thought it was some sort of attack, but after a while though I felt better after contacting all my family I have there.
